About

What we do

We deepen the understanding you have of your patients, with a stress-free assessment procedure that is quick and insightful for everyone involved. We are the first organisation in the UK to provide independent psychological screening for cosmetic surgery patients, and are proud of our expertise and service.

The work we do enables you to minimise the risk of yours. We help uncover potential red flags, allowing you to safeguard your patients and protect your reputation. Because we’re a close knit team we offer a highly flexible service that can be adapted if your requirements change.

Recent changes in the law may have an impacted on your clinic. Our aim is to minimise that impact and make psychological screening something that enhances your clinical practice.

Our Team

Dr Karen Quatermass PsychD, CPsychol, AFBPsyS

Founding Director

Karen has been fortunate to have had two careers. As a psychology graduate she trained as a specialist in qualitative and quantitative market research with National Opinion Polls and then set up her own research company. She specialised in public sector health research, working on high profile campaigns in the 90’s such as AIDS/sexual health, smoking cessation and sun awareness.

This led to a renewed desire to practice clinical psychology and so she took her doctorate and focussed full time on therapeutic work, becoming a specialist in long term complex mental health issues, particularly working with trauma, self harm and suicide.

Having been in clinical practice for more than 20 years and now the founding director of Questa Psychological Services, life has brought her full circle, with the exciting opportunity to combine these profound psychological interests in providing bespoke psychological assessment and research services for fellow professionals.

Bandna Rekhi, CPsychol, AFBPSS

With almost 15 years of experience in the field of psychology, Bandna has developed expertise in applying psychological principles and models to a multitude of settings. She has worked in universities as Assistant Professor, within the NHS as Senior Psychologist, and in the corporate field as Consultant, supporting staff deliver best quality care.

Bandna worked with burn-injured patients during her psychology training and has since been extremely interested to explore the psychological impact of appearance-based injuries and surgical procedures. She has been heavily involved in the development of Questa since it’s inception and takes pride in the team’s ability to work in tandem with other organisations to develop bespoke support for them to deliver safe and effective interventions for their clients.
